An Overview

Fall Leadership Conference, or FLC, is the biggest District 5170 event of the year filled with THOUSANDS of passionate Interactors from all over Northern California uniting under one roof. Last year, we broke our attendance limit with 4000 Interactors in attendance; As a result, we will strictly enforce an attendance limit!

Every year at FLC, our district releases both an International and Community project. Members all over our district are challenged to surpass and reach the monetary and service hour goal that is set.

Through inspirational speakers, workshops, and a hands-on service project, Interactors take away essential leadership skills and knowledge which deepens their passion for service.

International Project

Human trafficking: a frightening, but very real issue. The victims are our peers – boys and girls as young as eleven as trafficked across international and local borders and coerced into sexual trafficking and forced labor. Our 2015-2016 International Project aims to change this. We are creating a district-wide movement to raise awareness for this issue and create an environment of hope, rather than judgment. We will incorporate service, campaigns, education, and fundraising and strive to reach our goal of $100,000 by the end of our Interact year. This is the hope that we can rebuild lives. This is the hope.

Community Project

Similarly, Interact has a community project each year that benefits our own community! Under One Roof is our community project for the 2015-2016 year. The project aims to destigmatize homelessness and to use service to make an impact in the communities around us. This year, our district will deconstruct this stigma and permeate our community with compassion and love, creating a safe space that all homeless people can call home. We will accomplish this through three rays of hope: Breaking the Stigma, Prevent Homelessness, and Aid Those in Need.

An Unforgettable Experience

At FLC, you will attend workshops and learn about leadership! You will also cheer loud and meet lots of new friends! You will see thousands of Interactors who want to change the world and learn about the International and Community Projects!

San Jose, California

FLC will be held on Sunday, October 11 from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm at Independence High School in San Jose, CA (1776 Educational Park Dr, San Jose).
